You Could Train With Rafael Nadal’s Tennis Coach in Greece This Summer
With the French Open wrapping up this week, tennis is on the mind of fans everywhere. And when it comes to tennis, it’s hard not to think of Rafael Nadal. The Spaniard is ranked No. 2 in the world and is a favorite to win this year’s title — which would be his 12th French Open win.
For those who dream of playing like Rafa, the star and his coaching team are sharing their secrets through a partnership with the five-star Sani Resort in Halkidiki, Greece. The new Rafa Nadal Tennis Centre offers players of every ability the chance to experience a training program developed by Nadal and his coaching team. And for one week this summer, visitors have the chance to train under Toni Nadal, Rafa’s uncle and former coach, during his special appearance at the resort July 21-28.
Players who can’t make the trip in July can still get a taste of the training methods used to build the star. According to its website, the program "not only focuses on the champion’s technical and physical preparation, they also embrace elements of his personal values and mental training."
Attendees play on the center’s eight clay tennis courts under top coaches who have all been certified by Rafa Nadal Academy. One-week training packages for children and adults start at $280, with hourly and private daily training programs also available.
