Converse Cons and Carhartt WIP have teamed up for another edition in their on-going partnership.

First launched in 2017, the Converse Cons x Carhartt WIP partnership blends functionality and performance through sensible designs that are unique to both brands. Through this collaboration, iconic silhouettes such as the One Star and Fastbreak Pro have been reworked into upgraded and more technical designs.

This latest capsule hones in on the skateboarding roots present with both brands through updated and enhanced versions of the One Star Academy Pro and the Chuck Taylor All Star Pro. Paying homage to the 90s skate shoe designs and colorways, both models are constructed in an innovative tri-panel design and feature suede uppers in shades of brown, beige, and cream, which nods to Carhartt WIP’s archival colors.

The durability associated with both brands comes by way of the lateral triple stitching incorporated into the build, with both styles being accentuated with co-branded logos on the tongue and CX foam sock liner. The Chuck Taylor All Star Pro Hi, in particular, is a signature fit designed specifically for skateboarding, boasting lock-in elastic tongue straps, cushioning CX foam sock liners and the Cons Traction Rubber outsole for grip, board feel, and flick support.

The One Star Academy Pro separates itself from the pack with an improved board-feel and impact cushioning thanks courtesy of its CX foam material. A nod to its 1990s predecessor, The Academy, the colorway comes complete with a classic star and two-stripe logo.

The accompanying campaign for this collaboration was shot in Barcelona, Spain, by photographer Adrian Rios and videographer Natas3000, and features riders from the Carhartt Wip skate team.

The Converse Cons x Carhartt WIP collection will be available for purchase starting from June 6th at Carhartt WIP stores and select global retailers, as well as online via carhartt-wip.com and converse.com. While the pricing for both shoes have yet to be announced, previous releases have seen a price range between $80 to $100.

As Aleppo came under attack in late November, army units were not given a clear plan but were told to work it out for themselves, two Syrian security sources said.
