Connie Mak hesitant about daughter joining showbiz

27 Jun – After showing off her daughter's talent in music recently, Connie Mak (also known as Kitman Mak) stated that she is unsure whether she would be happy to let Tin Chan become a singer like herself.

As reported on Mingpao, the singer, who recently performed alongside husband Kong Wah and their daughter at the "Community Chest Charity Show", said that she would look at the situation before agreeing to such a big decision.

"The entertainment industry is very tough, especially nowadays. It is best to have a good education and enrich oneself instead," she said.

However, Connie admitted that Tin has started writing lyrics of her own.

"I hope that I will get to sing one of my daughter's songs before I retire from showbiz," she said.

Her actor husband chimed in, saying that Tin has always been fond of singing ever since she was a child.

On the other hand, when asked if the three of them have any plans to ask son Bryan to join them in the next performance if there is any, Connie laughed and said, "The boy doesn't like to be in the limelight. If you want him [to perform], go and ask him yourself."
