Concepts and Canada Goose Team Up on a $650 Trail Sneaker Inspired by the Aurora Borealis
Concepts has revealed its new, limited-edition collaborative collection with Canada Goose, replete with stylish, high-performance outerwear. And yes, there is also footwear.
Specifically, the renowned retailer gave the brand’s Glacier Trail Sneaker High a new look. Concepts described the look as having “the same unmatched protection and versatility” that Canada Goose offers while adding its own creative sensibilities.

The Glacier Trail Sneaker High features premium uppers with stretch collars for ankle comfort, as well as central waterproof zippers that open to a wide gusset for easy on-and-off and rubberized leather protective wraps around the shoe for durability.
Underfoot, the look features lightweight midsoles in a shape that Canada Goose explained was inspired by “wind-blown snow drifts.” There is also a TPU heel stabilizer for support around the heels. As for the outsole, it features a multidirectional tread design for grip and flexibility on any surface, and a heel flare extends ground contact for both improved grip and stability on the descent.
Other tech includes the laminated HDry membrane on the interior body of the sneaker that makes it both waterproof and breathable, and insoles lined with onSteam fabric, a breathable microfiber with temperature-regulating properties made to keep the wearer’s feet both dry and comfortable.
The entire collection, Concepts explained, was inspired by “the ethereal beauty of the aurora borealis.” and that each colorway echos “the shifting hues of the aurora borealis as they dance across the night sky.” The collaborative sneaker was dressed predominantly in a dark “Twilight” hue with hits of green throughout. The collaborative Glacier Trail Sneaker High also features Concepts and Canada Goose co-branding, as well as additional laces.
The Concepts x Canada Goose Glacier Trail Sneaker High is available now online in men’s and women’s sizing via Cncpts.com and at Canadagoose.com, as well as at Concepts stores in Boston, Miami and New York City. Retail price is $650.
