Coleen Garcia shares her encounter with "lunatic ex-cop"

The actress told of her experience dealing with road rage

24 May - Coleen Garcia recently told fans on social media of her encounter with a "lunatic ex-cop" during a minor accident in Bonifacio Global City.

The actress, who shared the ID card of the said man on her Facebook, revealed that the accident happen when her driver lightly hit the man's car by accident due to the latter's decision to suddenly halt his car in front of them.

Stressing that there was no damage at all to the man's car, Garcia said she and her driver was surprised when the man suddenly came out and started shouting that he is a cop.

"...he started tackling [my driver], in spite of my driver being completely calm and polite to him! So I tried to intervene. I opened the van's door and asked the man what his problem was and he literally attacked me and scratched my face," she said, adding that the man even tried to pull her out of the car.

She said that she was able to close the door immediately while the supposed ex-cop continued to threaten her and her driver.

However, Garcia said that the thing that most frustrated her was the police at the scene, who saw what happened but only told her to settle the problem at the station.

"[Seriously, I am so sick of] the police station. Please. So I opted to drop it instead, but not after taking photos of his plate number and his ID. Watch out for this man. He is literally insane, and apparently he's an ex-cop, which pretty much means he can get away with anything he wants. I mean, it's not like anyone's gonna stop him anyway. I would know," she added.

Garcia shared that after the incident, the said man hit another car and screamed at the driver as well.

She later edited the post, and shared that she has filed a report at the Makati police station. Garcia also revealed that the men she thought were police at the scene during the incident were actually marshals.

"I'm still disappointed by the way the marshals handled (or failed to handle) the situation, but the police officers at the station were very helpful with everything. I really want to extend my gratitude to PCSUPT TOMAS C. APOLINARIO JR for assisting us through the entire process. He was a great help, and everyone was so reasonable! I'm very confident that this will be resolved soon," she said.
