The Coco CG1 tennis shoes, Gauff’s shoes were customized with personal inspirational messages. Inscribed on the sneaker’s sole are quotes from her parents, names of her family members and coordinates to memorable locations. The player told Jelena Dokic during a post-match interview for Wide World of Sports.

One of the quotes, “You can change the world with your racquet,” is something her father has repeated to her since she was a little girl.

Another inscription included the star’s little brothers’ names who were shouted out during Gauff’s post-match moments with the press. Lastly, Gauff revealed writing “the coordinates to the park I grew up at in Pompey Park” on her shoes, inspired by the public tennis courts in Delray Beach, Fla., where the star originally began playing.
