CNN Logs Fourth Demo Win For 15-Year Best; FNC Tops Cable In Total Viewers For 10th Week

CNN won the week of Debate 3, October 17-23, in the adults 25-54 news demo for a fourth consecutive week. The cable news network now has topped Fox News Channel and MSNBC in the key ad-sales age bracket in total day, and primetime.

In total day, CNN nabbed 360K news-demo viewers, to Fox News’ 345K and MSNBC’s 243K. For the full week in primetime, CNN logged 813K news demo viewers, edging out FNC’s 755K and MSNBC’s 484K.

In Monday-Friday primetime, CNN clocked 1.023M viewers aged 25-54, besting FNC’s 961K and MSNBC’s 642K.

Meanwhile, FNC was the most watched in all of basic cable with total viewers in total day for the week, making it 10 weeks in a row. FNC logged 1.543M total-day total viewers. In primetime, FNC ranked No. 2 in overall audience (3.306M) behind only Fox Sports (4.235M).

CNN averaged 1.069M total day total viewers and 2.226M in primetime; MSNBC logged 945K total day viewers and 1.842M in prime.
