Clarks Originals is teaming up with Japanese streetwear brand Neighborhood for the third time, releasing the Wallabee and Desert Boot shoes with new variations for the collection releasing July 19.
$240
The Desert Boot is made of cow suede that becomes increasingly soft the more it is worn. The toe features a geometric design stitched on the boot. The sole is Vibram and the logo is printed on the side gore.
Clarks’ classic Desert Boot was originally designed in 1950 by Nathan Clark, drawing inspiration from a boot from Cairo’s Old Bazaar.

The new version of the Wallabee shoe has the letter “N” stitched on the top in addition to a special stitch design. The shoe includes a lightweight Vibram rubber sole, rough-out leather on the upper, a cow suede vamp and smooth skin leather surrounding the collar.
The Wallabee shoe, which originated in 1966, features a moccasin-inspired suede upper. On April 26, Clarks celebrated its inaugural Wallabee Day, honoring the shoe.
The new Desert Boot version is $240, while the Wallabee is $230. Beginning July 19, the shoes can be purchased from Neighborhood’s stores, Neighborhood’s online store, Hoods, Clarks Originals stores and Clarks online.
In addition to collaborating with Neighborhood, Clarks has recently delved into the entertainment world through a collaboration with Netflix’s “Stranger Things,” having announced a children’s shoe collection inspired by the show.
Clarks date back nearly 200 years to 1825 when James Clark first crafted the Brown Petersburg slipper out of offcuts from his brother Cyrus’ sheepskin rug business. Read more about Clarks’ history and the popularity of the Desert Boot and Wallabee here.
Neighborhood, meanwhile, frequently collaborates with major footwear brands, with additional partners including Adidas and Vans.
