Cindy Au hopes for more jobs in the near future
18 Sep - Cindy Au recently expressed hope to get a lot more on-screen jobs now that she is living the single life again.
The singer and former actress, whose marriage with Roger Kwok ended in May this year, shared in an interview on a HOY TV show that she needed to earn more money now that she has moved into a new place.
"It was my first time renting a house by myself, and I didn't know how much the commission would be, so I had to ask more people. I was afraid of being cheated. I needed to have my first pot of gold first, and I didn't have a job or income for so many years, so I didn't have this pot of gold," she said.
However, Cindy admitted that she is a bit "out of touch", since she hasn't filmed any dramas since 2005, having focused on her life as a wife and mother since her marriage to Roger in 2006.
"I have finally returned to Earth from Mars, so I have to learn how to make money," she added.
This also means that she will not be travelling to the UK to accompany her eldest son, who will be pursuing his studies in the country.
"My son is 16 years old. He can take care of himself," she added.
