Chu Ke-liang's children return to pay respect

17 May - One after the other, the five children of late comedian Chu Ke-liang arrived to see their father for the last time after he was transported to the funeral home in Banqiao District.

As reported on Apple Daily, 19-year-old son Hsieh Yu-ying, who is currently studying in Australia and has never made a public appearance previously, made his way to the funeral hall to pay his respect to the deceased.

At about 3pm, singer Jeannie Hsieh and sister Hsieh Ching-yen arrived at the venue quietly, avoiding journalists who were waiting for an interview. Ching-yen was looking pale and weak, and was revealed to have not eaten anything since the early morning.

Daughter Hsieh Chin-Ching, who was performing in Indonesia and wasn't able to see her father for the last time before he passed away, arrived at about 5 in the morning and went straight to the funeral parlour to mourn him.

Outside, friends including Weng Li-you, Rene Hou, Yang Hsiu-hui, and Action Tang also came to pay their respect.

It is said that Chu's remains will be taken to his resting place in Jiefang District. Chu Ke-liang passed away from liver failure due to his colorectal cancer on 15 May. He was 70.
