HGTV's Flip or Flop returns this Thursday for its ninth season. If you've been following the show from the beginning, you already know it's been a wild ride for ex-husband and wife Christina Anstead and Tarek El Moussa. Anstead took to Instagram on Tuesday to tease the upcoming season and also shed a light on all the major life changes that took place while filming.

"I can still picture making a pitch video for flip or flop in 2010, Anstead wrote in her caption, alongside a photo of her and El Moussa. "I was pregnant with Tay sitting on the couch in our San Clemente condo (with a home video camera on us) wondering what crazy idea Tarek was getting me into now. "

She admitted that she did not think that the pair’s pitch video would lead them anywhere. However, she is "beyond grateful" that it did, and that the show remained strong even when things got messy between her and El Moussa.

"Even after babies , divorces, and engagements the show continues," she wrote. "It’s been a lot of things, (including bug infested and rancid smells) but it’s never been boring."

As a refresher, Anstead and El Moussa were married from 2009 to 2017. During their marriage, they had two children together, Taylor and Brayden El Moussa. They also filmed seven seasons of Flip of Flop together. Despite their split, the pair decided to continue working together on the show while forming new relationships off set.

Anstead married Wheeler Dealers host Ant Anstead in December 2018 and the couple welcomed son Hudson London last year. In September 2020, they announced that they were separating. Meanwhile, El Moussa started dating Selling Sunset star Heather Rae Young in July 2019. The couple is currently engaged. In addition to filming the show together, Anstead and El Moussa also co-parent their children.

You can catch Flip or Flop this Thursday on HGTV at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
