Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s Daughter Is Here

And a baby makes three: Chrissy Teigen and John Legend welcomed their first child together, a daughter, last week.
“She’s here!” Teigen wrote on Instagram, sharing a sign noting the baby’s birth weight was 6 pounds, 11 ounces. “Luna Simone Stephens, we are so in love with you! And sleepy. Very sleepy.” It notes that Luna was born on Thursday, April 14. (John Legend’s birth name is John Stephens.)

It has been a long journey to parenthood for Teigen and Legend, who were married in 2013. Teigen has spoken openly about her fertility struggles and using IVF to finally conceive.
“Chrissy says it’s a lot of pressure though because everybody says she’s going to be so cute — what if she’s not that cute? Every baby is not that cute,” Legend joked during an interview with Big Boy’s Neighborhood in LA on Friday. “Let’s just hope that she’s healthy and that’s all we are focused on.”

Teigend and Legend have both said they plan to have a big family and Teigen doesn’t seem to be interested in wasting any time.
“I think I’ll probably be pregnant all through my 30s,” Teigen, 30, told Self magazine. “I’ve always pictured everyone around the table for the holidays and together once a week. It’ll be heartbreaking if it doesn’t end up happening, but hopefully it will. We’ve got some embryos on hold.”
Luna’s birthstone is a diamond. Luckily she’s got parents who can probably afford it.
