Chrissie Chau's movie to compete at Udine festival

23 Apr – Chrissie Chau recently expressed delight over the news that her 2018 movie, "Hotel Soul Good" has been selected to compete at the 21st Udine Far East Film Festival.

As reported on Singtao Daily, the actress, who made an appearance at a brand event alongside Ekin Cheng recently, shared that it was a pleasant surprise, although she is unsure the movie would be involved in which competition.

Asked if she has a great chance to win Best Actress, Chrissie said that she has not considered winning anything at all, and was just very happy that the movie is even selected.

The movie, directed by Anthony Yan, stars Chrissie as a 30-year-old woman who finds her career path changes when she befriends three elderly spirits.

It will be one of eight Hong Kong films that will be joining the festival, including Anthony Wong-starrer, "Still Human", the HKFA winner "Project Gutenberg", as well as Renny Harllin's "Bodies at Rest".

The upcoming festival will be held from 26 April to 4 May.
