Chow Yun Fat assures lumps were not malignant
7 Nov - Chow Yun Fat couldn't help but laugh over speculations of a serious condition, after netizens noticed lumps on his thigh in some photos of him back in July.
As reported on Oriental Daily, the veteran actor, who spoke to the media at a CHANEL fashion show in Hong Kong, said that he had already treated the swelling and rubbed it with medicated oil.
"It went away without any discomfort or pain," he said.
Chow also couldn't help but joke that he would have been hospitalised if the lumps were as big as tennis balls, or ended up in the Emergency if it was as big as a pineapple.
"Those netizens might have cataracts and cannot see clearly," he joked.
Asked if the condition affected his running, the actor, who is fond of the activity, said that it was just subcutaneous fat and won't cause any issue.
It was back in July that netizens noticed that Chow had lumps along his thighs. Each lump was approximately the size of a grape, sparking a heated discussion regarding the actor's health.
Some speculated it to be lipomas, whole others expressed concern that it might be more than that.
