Cho Chang From "Harry Potter" is All Grown Up and Starring in an Amazing New TV Show

It's a HUUUUGE departure from her Hogwarts days.

You may remember Katie Leung as Cho Chang in Harry Potter. She was Harry's first kiss. You might even say she was his sort-of/kind-of girlfriend until things went downhill because they were both emotionally damaged from the death of his friend and her former bae, Cedric Diggory.

Katie hasn't done much on screen since she finished filming Harry Potter back in 2011, but obviously she's grown up a lot in the past four years, and her latest TV role definitely proves it.

Katie's new show, One Child, is a major departure from playing Harry's love interest. She plays a young Chinese woman named Mei who was put up for adoption as a baby because of China's one-child policy and adopted by a British-American couple in England. The story begins when Mei is called back to Guangzhou, China by her birth mother, who is desperately seeking help to save Mei's birth brother after he's wrongly accused of murder. She then has to figure out how far she'll go to help the family that gave her up.

Sadly, One Child is only available to watch in the U.K., where it aired on BBC Two, but it was filmed in partnership with SundanceTV, so hopefully they'll realize that the whole Harry Potter fandom needs to see Katie Leung all grown up and make it available to watch worldwide. *crossing fingers*
