Chiz Escudero: There are a lot of other issues to discuss!
19 Feb – Married for the past 6 years and yet still no baby, Sorsorgon Governor Francis "Chiz" Escudero recently laughed off claims that he and wife Heart Evangelista have yet to have a child together as they are not sleeping in the same bed.
The politician, who shared a link to an article claiming that he and his actress wife were the couple who was talked about in a recent blind item, tweeted, "True! When I am in Sorsogon and [Heart] is in Manila."
He then added that there are bigger issues in the Philippines where more research and discussion should be made about instead of his married life.
Evangelista previously opened up about her marriage set-up with the busy politician, saying that Escudero spends four days a week in Sorsogon while she stays in Manila, which is why they have yet to succeed in having a baby.
"Whenever Chiz returns, my fertile week is over. It's not easy to get pregnant. You only have a few days and the window is like three to five days," she said, adding that the pandemic has made it even more difficult for their baby-making plans.
It is noted that Evangelista has been fully dedicated to her status as the wife of the incumbent governor of the province, promoting its local handicrafts and tourist attractions as many times as she could since husband Chiz Escudero was elected in May 2019.
The couple were married in 2015 and the governor is 16 years older to his wife.
