Chinese singer Joker Xue to hold first solo concert in Singapore next January
Singapore stop on 6 January 2024 is part of the 'Extraterrestrial' World Tour with tickets to be available from 12 October.
SINGAPORE - Joker Xue fans will be ecstatic to know that the Chinese singer will be holding his first solo concert at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 6 January next year.
Concert promoter iMe Entertainment Group Asia has announced that tickets for this highly anticipated event will be available from 10am on Thursday (12 October).
The Singapore stop will be part of his 'Extraterrestrial' World Tour, which has already seen him perform in nearly 60 concerts and garnered over two million viewers as of September.
11 albums released in 18 years
Xue started his music career in 2006 with the release of his self-titled debut album. He was crowned the "Most Popular New Artist" at the 6th Global Chinese Music Awards that year.
After 18 years in the industry, the Shanghai-born singer is celebrated for hits like "Ugly", "Actor"' and "Serious Snow". He has released eleven albums to date, with his latest "Alien From The Sky" in 2020.
'Extraterrestrial' concept
The core storyline of the concert is inspired by Xue's hit song "Extraterrestrial", where he is slated to transform into an "interstellar executive", who "descends from an alien planet to destroy Earth", said Ticketmaster Singapore and the Singapore Sports Hub.
Xue is known for his ability to adapt songs on the spot, drawing inspiration from the attractions and local characteristics of different cities, in his signature "Xue-style dialect".
Tickets to Xue's concert are priced between $167 and $377, with a $4 handling fee. It will be available via Ticketmaster's website and hotline (+65-31588588).
Xue had to cancel his concert in Chengdu, China on 9 and 10 September after he caught a low-grade fever and symptoms of tonsillitis. Despite this setback, the singer engaged with fans and conducted a sing-along that turned the show into a small meet-and-greet session.
