Chinese millionaire offers millions to defeat Xu Xiaodong

10 May - A Chinese businessman is offering a huge amount of money for any martial artists to defeat MMA fighter, Xu "The Madman" Xiaodong.

As reported on Taiwan News, Chen Sheng, the founder of Tiandi No. 1 Beverage Inc, offered to award RMB 10 million (approx USD 1.45 million) to any traditional fighter who can win against Xu, who previously knocked down Tai Chi master, Wei Lei in less than ten seconds.

Chen proposed for five matches with each victors winning the aforementioned amount and the loser returning home with USD 500,000.

When asked why he is making such a hefty offer, Chen shared that he has always been in awe of the Chinese martial arts, which is why he disapproves of Xu's arrogance in defeating Wei Lei.

He added that the title "madman" that was given to Xu is befitting, although more in a sense of his mental state.

"I know a lot of people are angry, but I would like to be able to ask a true master to show Xu the real power of Chinese martial arts," he said.
