Chinese actress arrested for sheltering drug users

4 Mar - Chinese actress Fu Yiwei was recently arrested by the police for the suspicion of sheltering drug users.

As reported on ECNS News, the 51-year-old actress, who is most well-known for her role as Su Daji, a concubine of an emperor in the 1990's TV series, "Investiture of the Gods", reportedly has been taken away by the police following a tip-off from neighbours of her Beijing's Chaoyang residence.

However, it is unclear whether the actress herself is a drug user.

Fu's personal Weibo account has been flooded with messages from fans since the arrest, with many expressing regret over the news.

Jackie Chan's son Jaycee was also arrested and imprisoned for sheltering drug users back in 2014. However, he was also found using drugs, and was sentenced to six months of prison.
