China-based Lily Tien slams Lin Chi-ling's political stance

3 Aug - Just as her issue with Edison Chen was about to die down, Lin Chi-ling was attacked yet again, this time by pro-China Taiwanese actress, Lily Tien.

As reported on Taipei Times, Lily recently shared an article titled "Pro-Independence Lin Chi-ling is the Real Problem", accusing the model-actress of being a Taiwanese independence supporter who still wants to make money in the mainland.

Refusing to back down from her post, Lily said that Lin's relatives are supporters of the Democratic Progressive Party led by current President of the Republic of China (commonly known as Taiwan) Tsai Ing-wen, which advocates economic liberalism and a nationalistic identity, and therefore it is possible that she is also a supporter of the Taiwan independence.

"Lin should clarify whether she is a supporter of Taiwanese independence or not. If you really have such thoughts, don't come here [mainland China]. You should be ashamed of making money in neidi," she said.

Neidi (which means 'interior'), in this sense, is a word that has been used by Chinese and China-based Taiwanese stars to refer to China.

She also criticised Leon Dai, who made headlines last month when he was fired from Zhao Wei's film, "No Other Love" following rumours that he supported Taiwanese independence.

Although Leon has continuously denied this, Lily stated that she has no sympathy for the actor.
