China to adapt "A Gentleman's Dignity" and "The Heirs"
25 Feb - Rumours are rife that a mainland version of the hit Korean drama, "A Gentleman's Dignity", is currently in the works.
As reported on Mingpao News, sources revealed recently that a mainland production is currently on the lookout for the perfect ensemble to play the four men in the Chinese remake. The original drama, aired on SBS back in 2012, stars Jang Dong-gun, Kim Min-jong, Kim Su-ro and Lee Jong-hyuk as four best friends who have their own career and relationship issues.
On the other hand, it was reported that Enlight Pictures and Happy Era Media will be working with South Korean production company Hwa & Dam Pictures to produce a Chinese film version of the hit 2013 SBS drama, "The Heirs" (Also known as "The Inheritors").
Reportedly, the drama screenwriter Kim Eun-sook will also be involved in the production.
However, details of the upcoming production have yet to be released.
"The Heirs" revolves around a group of privileged high school students, who have control over everything but their love lives. It stars Lee Min-ho, Park Shin-hye and Kim Woo-bin.
