Chew Kin Wah: I still live in KL!
5 Feb – Chew Kin Wah recently had to clarify his whereabouts, after losing several acting offers due to the misunderstanding that he has now moved to Indonesia.
The actor, who spoke to the media at the "Rain Town" premiere gala recently, shared that he still lives in Malaysia and has never changed his nationality.
"It's weird to me that some directors said that they wanted to offer me work but then replaced me with someone else because they thought I have moved to Indonesia. Meanwhile, I am still in Malaysia and had nothing to do," he said.
Chew explained that while he has been doing projects in Indonesia, it doesn't mean that he will only do work in the said country, especially since it takes a lot of processes for him to be able to work abroad.
"Don't make assumptions. If a company wants me to be in their project, they can contact me first for confirmation," he added.
Meanwhile, the actor stated that he made it a rule not to work more than 12 hours a day so not to fall ill from overwork.
"If anything happens, it would be trouble for the production," he added.
