Cheryl Yang, Ruby Lin nominated for Golden Bell Awards

9 Sep – Both Ruby Lin and Cheryl Yang have been nominated Best Actress at the Golden Bell Awards for their performances in Netflix's "Light the Night".

On 7 September, Cheryl expressed her happiness over the nomination by saying that she is thankful for the recognition, adding that she is looking forward to it. The actress was last nominated in the category through 2020's "The Mirror".

Meanwhile, Ruby, who is also the producer of the series, stated that she is elated that the judges have seen the effort they made and affirmed the series.

"In the future, we will continue to produce good works for everybody," she added.

The series is also nominated in the Best TV Series category, although the series with the most nominations is "Gold Leaf", with 16 nods.

Other actresses who will be competing with Ruby and Cheryl are Ricie Fun and Hsieh Ying-Xuan, the latter who receives two separate nominations for "Ordinary Woman" and "Heaven on the Fourth Floor".

The 2022 Golden Bell Awards will be held on 21 and 22 October.
