Cheng Xiao gets scolded by director Guo Jingming
7 Mar - A video recently went viral of director Guo Jingming reprimanding idol singer Cheng Xiao on the set of his new drama, "The Story of Mystics" (also known as "Fangs of Fortune").
As reported on Sohu, the clip that had since been circulating social media platforms saw Guo scolding the former WJSN member for not moving fast enough as she returned to her RV to get a change of clothes.
Speaking to Cheng's assistant, Guo was heard saying, "Is she the director? Who do you listen to?"
He then turned to Cheng and said, "Chen Duling had a scene where she was soaked in water for a whole day in Xiangshan without changing clothes. If you can't stand pain, you might as well go back and be an idol and ride in your Rolls Royce. Being an actor is hard work!"
According to some sources who were at the scene, Cheng Xiao's headband reportedly fell apart during filming and that she wanted to go back to the dressing room to tidy up, but did not communicate to Guo clearly about it.
Netizens who saw the video have mixed reaction, with some supporting Guo and said that it's natural for a director to be angry if an artiste delays production just to change their clothes, while others saying that Guo did not need to be so harsh against Cheng Xiao.
