Chen Xiao and Michelle Chen spark divorce rumours again
4 Feb - Despite keeping their mouths shut amid divorce rumours, netizens have now found another reason to believe that Chen Xiao and Michelle Chen are no longer together.
Eagle-eyed fans recently noticed that the two stars were not in the same location for the Chinese New Year. While Chen Xiao's location on his social media account revealed that he went back to his hometown Anhui, Michelle instead was situated in Beijing, sparking speculations that the two did not celebrate the New Year together.
It is noted that Michelle has said in past interviews that she goes back to Anhui every year to celebrate the New Year.
Rumours of the couple's separation sparked as early as late 2023. While Michelle was spotted wearing her wedding ring on many occasions, it was revealed that Chen Xiao did not show up at her father's funeral. He also donated to the Tibet earthquake relief using his own name instead of doing it jointly with Michelle.
Michelle and Chen tied the knot in 2016 after meeting on the set of "The Romance of the Condor Heroes" a year before. Their son Chen Muchen was born the same year.
