Chen Duling wraps up new series based on Jin Yong's work
19 Dec – Chen Duling recently revealed that she has just wrapped up filming her new drama, "Dong Xie Xī Du".
As reported on Sohu, the actress, who appeared at the 4th Hainan Island International Film Festival in Sanya, stated that she plays the role of Huang Yaoshi's wife Feng Heng in the drama, and that it will revolve around how the two characters met before they started their love story.
The character of Huang Yaoshi is from Jin Yong's "The Legend of the Condor Heroes", and in this upcoming series, will be played by Zhou Yiwei.
Although there has been a movie version called "Ashes of Time" starring Leslie Cheung and Tony Leung directed by Wong Kar Wai, it is revealed that the series has nothing to do with that version, but is made on the basis of the original novel.
Feng Heng is Huang Yaoshi's wife in the novel. She is not only extremely beautiful, but also smart, has an excellent memory, and has the ability to never forget. Among other actresses who have played the character include Huang Yi in 2014 and Li Yixiao in 2017.
In addition, Chen Duling also has a spy war drama called "The Lone Boat" that is being filmed, aside from other upcoming dramas to be released next year.
