Chef Wan's mother has been laid to rest
13 Jan – Chef Wan recently revealed that mum Noraini has recently been laid to rest.
On 12 January, the celebrity chef, who shared news of her passing earlier that day, shared, "Everything went very smooth, from the washing and shrouding ceremony at the Putra Mosque Putrajaya to her burial."
"I tried to hold on to my tears from the mosque to the cemetery but as soon as the talqin was read, I couldn't help but cry. I was the last to leave mum's grave as I wanted sometime alone with her. It was really hard to leave mum alone. But like most things, all this now has become part of my history," he added.
Earlier, Chef Wan revealed that his mother passed away in the wee morning of Thursday, 12 January at the Gleneagle Hospital, two weeks after she was warded due to cancer and several other health complications.
The celebrity chef had been the one to take care of his mother in her twilight years.
She was 93.
