For a smoky and aromatic experience, try the Chye Poh Kway Teow, an iconic Teochew street food with bits of crunchy, savoury preserved radish, embedded within silky smooth sheets of rice noodles. There’s also the crowd-favourite Oyster Omelette with pops of umami-rich mollusks and crispy, creamy egg.

Of course, there’s also Nyonya classics such as the Dry Laksa, a variant of the usual soup-based noodle dish that doesn’t compromise on taste; perfect for non-soup fans. The mouth-watering Dry Mee Siam is light and tangy on the palate, served with a luscious fried egg, prawns, tau pok and a squeeze of calamansi.

If it seems like eons ago since your last trip to Penang, you can enjoy favourites like the sweet and sour Assam Laksa, served with shredded sardines, pineapples, sliced red onion, cucumbers, mint leaves, and bunga kantan (torch ginger).

The Mee Jawa Goreng is a wok-hei infused yellow noodle dish, stir-fried in a tomato-based sauce served with prawns, mini potato cubes and fried tau kwa.

These 6 dishes are already available at the following Hawkerman Street Kitchen outlets within Kedai Kopi: Clementi, Ang Mo Kio and Haig Road. One more piece of great news, these new additions are now permanent fixtures on the menu! So take your time and enjoy them at your leisure; no rush.
