Charmaine Sheh to sue underwear brand for illegal photo use

23 Apr – Charmaine Sheh recently revealed that she is planning to take legal action against a mainland company for illegally using her photos to advertise their products.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress' studio released a statement on Weibo, saying that the actress has never cooperated with any undergarment brands in mainland China, and that the photos of her that have been circulating online recommending the brand was an infringement on her rights.

The company added that they will be taking legal action against the brand, demanding that the other party apologise for their action and pay damages to the actress.

The statement was also reposted by Charmaine, who wrote, "I am very angry. I have never endorsed this brand. Please do not be fooled by this!"

China anchors 'monster ship' in South China Sea, Philippine coast guard says
The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said on Saturday that China's largest coastguard vessel has anchored in Manila's exclusive economic zone (EEZ) in the South China Sea, and is meant to intimidate its smaller Asian neighbour. The China coastguard's 165-meter 'monster ship' entered Manila's 200-nautical mile EEZ on July 2, spokesperson for the PCG Jay Tarriela told a news forum. The PCG warned the Chinese vessel it was in the Philippine's EEZ and asked about their intentions, he said.
