Charlie Dizon is pressured competing with great talents

20 Oct – While she is happy to be nominated in the Movie Actress of the Year category at the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Movies, Charlie Dizon admitted that she is also pressured about competing with talented veteran stars.

The actress, who is nominated for her performance in her 2020 movie, "Fan Girl", shared her thoughts about the nomination with the media recently, saying, "It's a bit stressful but of course it's really an honour to be nominated alongside the names of Ms. Nora Aunor, Iza Calzado, and many other great artistes."

At the same time, Charlie is happy that the movie is still being recognised two years after it was released.

"Now it's 2022 and it's still being recognised by another award-giving body. It's also stressful at the same time, but it's always an honour to be included," she added.

It is noted that other nominees in the said category include Iza Calzado for "Tagpuan", Nora Aunor for "Isa Pang Bahaghari", and Sylvia Sanchez for "Coming Home".

Charlie is also competing against Alessandra de Rossi ("Watch List"), Lovi Poe ("Malaya"), and Cristine Reyes ("Untrue").

Meanwhile, the movie is nominated in 11 other categories including Movie of the Year, Movie Director of the Year and Movie Screenwriter of the Year (for Antoinette Jadaone), Movie Actor of the Year (for Paulo Avelino), as well as Movie Ensemble Acting of the Year.
