Charlene Choi, Wong Cho Lam paired up for "Just 1 Day"

21 Jul – Charlene Choi and Wong Cho Lam are playing a couple for the first time in the upcoming Emperor Motion Pictures' film, "Just 1 Day".

The film, which is written and directed by "77 Heartbreaks" writer Erica Li, tells the story of Mosaic, an urban sketcher suffering from ALS, who has one last wish - for his former classmate Angelfish to be his girlfriend for just one day.

Speaking about the movie, Charlene said that she never thought that she and Cho Lam would be working together in a romantic movie.

"After watching his performance in the movie, I knew there would be no issue at all. He shed some weight for the role and look different, and it gave me this trust to collaborate," she said.

The actress also stated that the movie will not only raise awareness about ALS, but also bring back nostalgia to Hong Kong residents, as the two characters will go to various nostalgic places in the movie.

On the other hand, Cho Lam stated that he was fully prepared when the script came his way, as he wanted to show people his romantic side.

"Charlene has made a lot of romantic movies and is good with it, so I listen a lot to her ideas," he added.

The upcoming movie will also be released on Disney+ beginning 23 July.
