Chapman To saddened by Billy Tang's death
7 Jul – Chapman To recently expressed his sadness over the passing of Hong Kong director Billy Tang.
As reported on Mingpao, following news of the filmmaker's death, Chapman took to Facebook to express his thoughts, writing, "Just learned that director Billy Tang is gone. I miss having breakfast and drinking beer with you... On the way back to the hotel at sunset, you told me to find my own style in making movies."
Chapman added that Billy will always have a profound impact on his career as a director.
"What affected me the most is that we have already lost Ringo Lam. The two of you are now gone. May you find bliss... Have a safe journey. Cut!"
On the other hand, another former ATV actress Alice Chan also expressed sadness over the passing, saying that Tang had always been a strict director who still had empathy towards his actors.
Tang passed away recently following years of battling cancer. He was 69.
