Chacha Maembong enraged over being dragged in Aliff Aziz-Ruhainies controversy

25 Apr - Enraged over her name being dragged into the Aliff Aziz-Ruhainies scandal, Chacha Maembong recently took to social media to address the issue to her fans.

The actress, real name Siti Aisyah Rohani Ismail, was recently slammed by netizens after a series of WhatsApp texts between Ruhainies and Aliff Aziz were released on Instagram Story by Sarah Yasmine, the alleged Singaporean girlfriend of the actor.

In one of the conversations, Ruhainies told Aliff that she had spoken to Emma, who allegedly told her that Bella had cried to sister Chacha about her marriage, and that Chacha supposedly said that only fools would believe Bella.

"Chacha said that she can see that [Bella] is trying hard to make people believe," said Ruhainies in one of the texts to Aliff.

In response, Chacha shared on Instagram what she wrote to Ruhainies after finding out about the leaked messages, saying, "I sent a message to Ruhainies and asked why she mentioned my name since I am not involved in their affairs. I asked when did I say Bella cried to me? This is your problem. Why must you mention my name?"

She then played Ruhainies' response to her fans, which the latter posted in voice messages. The actress told Chacha that it was a conversation between her and Aliff that was leaked by Sarah, which further caused Chacha's ire as it did not answer her question.

Chacha, who stressed that she was never good friends with Ruhainies as they have only worked together once, said that the only thing she said to Ruhainies was that she didn't know anything about the issue except what were written in the media, and that she saw Aliff's estranged wife Bella at the Starvendor event and that "Bella seemed like she had some problem."

"I said that I can't just let it be as it has nothing to do with me. I asked her to clear my name. She hasn't replied to my messages. I called her, but she didn't answer," she said.
