Celebrity friends remember Leslie Cheung
5 Apr – It wasn't just fans who remembered Leslie Cheung on the 15th anniversary of his passing, as celebrity friends also took to social media to express how much they miss him.
As reported on Mingpao, Carina Lau, who worked with Leslie in a number of movies including "Days of Being Wild" and "Ashes of Time", recently shared an audio clip of her reciting a poem by Yang Mu, "Walking through the Peach Blossom Grove".
In the clip, she can also be heard saying, "Leslie, the spring is coming. The peaches are now grown. I want to tell you that every New Year, I will still go to the grove that you introduced to me. The peach blossomed beautifully."
She added in the last part of the recording, "Leslie, I read you the poem to commemorate you. We miss you."
Anita Yuen, who worked with Leslie in movies like "He's a Woman, She's a Man" and "The Chinese feast", recently shared a photo of son Morton watching the late singer performing on television.
She wrote, "I honestly love you."
Although Zhang Ziyi never had the chance to work with Leslie, she also posted a message online, saying, "Death is never the end of life, being forgotten is. There are so many people who miss you. Because of you, this time of the year becomes so special."
