Celebrities mourn the loss of Lily Leung

15 Aug – Hong Kong celebrities recently expressed sadness over the loss of TVB veteran actress Lily Leung, who passed away earlier this week.

As reported on Mingpao, singer Hacken Lee, who visited the actress at the hospital prior to her passing, posted a throwback photo of him and Lily during a Mother's Day celebration, writing, "This was our last photo. I will always miss mother's grace."

Grace Wong, who worked with Lily in the martial arts drama "A Fist Within Four Walls", shared a photo of her with the actress and posted, "Sister Lily, thank you for always being so elegant and humble, always a good example for us, and always an idol for everyone in my generation. It is my blessing to be able to shoot with you. I will always miss you my dear! Rest In Peace."

Meanwhile, Nancy Sit, who spoke to the media following news of Lily's passing, expressed her sadness for not being able to visit Lily when she was hospitalised earlier. Lau Siu Kwan shared similar regret, saying that he couldn't see the actress at the hospital as she was resting. He added that the news of her death came so sudden that it really saddened him.

"She was a good senior. Everybody had a good relationship with her," he said.

As for Joel Chan, the actor, who worked with Lily in several dramas including the upcoming "Chinatown", said that he felt bad for not having the opportunity to see her for the last time.

"I hope she will rest in peace," he added.
