CBS Buys Michael Rauch Legal Drama Produced By Jennifer Lopez

Following a five-year stint as executive producer/showrunner on USA’s Royal Pains, Michael Rauch is returning to the drama about two brothers arena with his new project as creator.

CBS has bought an untitled drama written by Rauch, which centers on polar opposite identical twin brothers who duke it out in their personal lives but are at their best teaming up in the courtroom.

Rauch is executive producing with Jennifer Lopez through her Nuyorican Productions, frequent collaborator Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas of EGTV and Daniel A. Thomas.

CBS Television Studios, where Rauch is under an overall deal, is co-producing with Universal Television, where Lopez’s Nuyorican Productions has had a first-look deal.

Rauch’s series credits also include Love Monkey, which he created, Life Is Wild and Beautiful People. He is repped by CAA and attorney Kevin Kelly.

Nuyorican Productions is producing the NBC drama series Shades of Blue, toplined by Lopez, which is returning for a second season, as well as Freeform veteran The Fosters. Lopez is repped by CAA and Benny Medina.
