Catherine Tsang keeps mums about Dicky's TVB pay

20 Feb - TVB Executive Catherine Tsang has neither confirmed nor denied speculations that TVB is paying Dicky Cheung a hefty sum to make his drama comeback.

According to On CC, when asked about Dicky's comeback salary at the press conference announcing the return, Catherine, who is TVB's Assistant General Manager of Drama Production, only responded, "He doesn't need to negotiate anything. Just trust me!"

She admitted to be touched by the actor's generosity, even if it has been nearly 20 years since he was last seen in a TVB drama.

"I have known him for 30 years. I watched him grow and witnessed his success. He has always maintained his good image, and when I asked him if he would like to make a comeback, he immediately agreed," said Catherine.

She added, "It's hard to find someone like him, especially in a time like this."

The TVB Executive also stressed that Dicky has agreed to make a comeback because of his loyalty to TVB, and not just for her sake.

"He grew up in this company and was trained here. I asked him, 'It's dad's 50th birthday, will you return to celebrate?' and he quickly said yes," she said.

Dicky will be working with Sisley Choi and Tony Hung in the upcoming drama, "The Handsome Marshall".
