Catherine Hung suddenly announces divorce online
2 May – Catherine Hung surprised many recently when she announced that she and husband Andy Zhang are no longer together.
Netizens were unable to be certain as to whether the whole announcement was serious or a product of a spat between husband and wife, seeing that it was made at 3AM on 1 May, with the Hong Kong actress writing, "Andy Zhang and I are no longer husband and wife."
Andy, on the other hand, responded with "Yes, no more", though added three crying laughing face emojis at the end of the post.
Catherine's post was also deleted and reposted three times, with the actress saying that somebody had been deleting them.
It is noted that Andy was involved in a cheating rumour back in 2019, after he was accused of having an affair with his female manager Bi Ying. Andy denied the allegation, with Catherine giving him her full support.
On the other hand, Bi Ying herself reportedly posted a message about the two soon after, saying, "My seniors, you can quarrel, but do not joke about a divorce. I really can't tell."
The two stars have not made any other statement since then.
