14 Sep – Back in June, Cathay Cineplexes and mm2 Asia announced that they will be launching a new movie streaming platform called Cathay CineHome.

Fast forward to this month, the streaming platform has finally launched with a selection of twenty local, Asian and international titles.

Currently, the titles available for this month include "Ah Boys To Men 3: Frogmen" (SG), "Bring Me Home" (Korea), "Little Q" (Hong Kong), "Pee Nak 2" (Thailand) and "Sheep Without A Shepherd" (China).

New titles will be added each week. This means there will be more movies coming soon, such as "A Choo" (Taiwan), "Impetigore" (Indonesia), "In My Heart" (Malaysia), "Mr. Zoo" (Korea) and "Unhinged" (USA).

To celebrate its launch, Cathay CineHome is offering a few selected titles for complimentary viewing, which are valid now until 24 September 2020.

The streaming platform can be accessed online at cathaycinehome.com/en or on the app, which can be downloaded for free from the Apple App store or Google Play Store.

At the moment, Cathay CineHome is only available in Singapore but most likely it will be made available in places such as Malaysia and China too in the future, since its content includes movies from these countries.

As a digital extension of the Cathay Cineplexes, Cathay CineHome will screen movies that have recently ended their run in the cinemas, as well as "online" or "straight-to-video" movies. There are no membership fees or monthly subscriptions, viewers can instead rent the movies digitally for unlimited viewings within 14 days for SGD7.98 (new titles) or SGD5.98 (library titles).
