The more lower-priced Cat 3 to 5 tickets to both days of Mandopop diva Chang Hui-mei’s (张惠妹) Singapore concert are sold out after a “great response”, the organiser said on Tuesday (11 April).

According to concert organiser Mediacorp Vizpro, only Cat 1 and 2 tickets ($288 and $238 respectively) are available for 9 June, while almost all tickets have been sold for her performance on 10 June. The Cat 3 to 5 tickets cost between $98 to $198.

Better known by her stage name A-Mei, the singer will bring her “Utopia 2.0 Carnival World Tour” concert to the Singapore Indoor Stadium at 8pm on both days.

A follow-up to her previous “Utopia World Tour”, “Utopia 2.0” is a tour that commemorates the veteran singer’s 20 years in the music industry. The “Pride of Taiwan” already performed in Malaysia in February this year.

A-Mei made her debut in 1996 and has won many awards during the course of her career, with hits such as “Sisters” (姊妹), “Listen to the Sea” (聽海), and “Holding Hands” (牽手). She is also one of the mentors on China’s singing competition “Sound of My Dream”. She was previously in Singapore in early 2016, her first performance on the island after 17 years.
