Congratulations are in order for Miranda Lambert!

On Sunday, July 26, the 36-year-old singer took to Instagram to share some very exciting and uplifting news.

“2020 hasn't offered a whole lot to celebrate, especially for musicians,” Miranda wrote. “But I am celebrating this week. I'm celebrating happiness and the feeling of artistic freedom in a time where we all feel a little caged. I'm celebrating country music and all the joy it has brought to my life. I'm celebrating ALL the fans, the writers, the musicians, the crews, and bands, radio and streaming services, venues big and small for allowing me to have the most wonderful career for the last 17 years.”

After explaining that it’d been eight years since she’d had a number one on the Billboard charts (and six years on Mediabase), Miranda shared that “Bluebird” is officially a number-one song.

“I have spent my life doing what I love and I feel more blessed and humbled than ever to have this song of hope resonate with you all,” she wrote. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

After thanking her management, writers, and filmmaker for helping lead her to this point, she finished by writing, “Turns out we did have a wildcard up our sleeve.”

And she’s not the only one in Nashville who’s stoked about it.

“Love you, George,” Natalie Hemby, one of Miranda's frequent collaborators and a co-writer of the song, wrote. “So, so, so proud of you. This is so beautiful and true. I hope we all get to fly soon.”

Meanwhile, Martina McBride posted an array of applause emojis and congratulations, while fans showed their fullest support. Congratulations also flowed in from Karen Fairchild of Little Big Town, as well as the Junk Gypsies.

And it wasn’t just Instagram where folks were weighing in. On Twitter, Randy Houser wrote, “Congrats Miranda! You deserve a lot better than one in six to eight years. Great son and very proud of you.”

Tanya Tucker chimed in, writing, “Congrats girlfriend! Bluebird at #1!!! Still givin hell!!! Keep on doing what you do. You’re the best at it!!!”

And Carrie Underwood spoke up, congratulating her friend and declaring another number one was long overdue—which thousands of fans agreed with given just how many people liked and retweeted Carrie’s comment.

The moral of the story? If you’ve yet to listen to “Bluebird” on repeat, now’s your chance.
