Carlo Ng enjoys the recognition from playing Fung Chun Mei
21 Aug - Although his character Fung Chun Mei is despised by many in TVB's "A Fist Within Four Walls", actor Carlo Ng stated that he is still happy with the recognition he gets from doing the series.
As reported on Mingpao News, the actor, who attended the promotional event of the drama recently, stated that he is thankful to producer Jazz Boon for casting him in the martial arts drama.
"When I heard about the character, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to do it. He has a rough childhood, he's a little feminine, and he's ruthless. But the producer encouraged me to try," said Carlo.
Carlo also admitted that his bleached eyebrow, make-up and overall style have scared a lot of people, especially children.
"But I am just pleased that the viewers recognised me," he enthused.
In the drama, Carlo's character Fung Chun Mei is one of the most highly skilled martial artists within the walled city, a master of the Eagle Claw, and one of the three most powerful triad leaders of The Association who controls most of the city's prostitute houses and performance clubs.
