Carice van Houten (aka, “Game of Thrones'” Melisandre) just had a baby, and his name is the cutest

Blessings from the old gods and the new, People reported that Game of Thrones actress Carice van Houten and Australian actor and partner Guy Pearce just welcomed a new baby into their family!

Not SURE how we feel about a placenta smoothie, but can we just say that “Monte” is just about the cutest name ever? And although we haven’t seen a picture of the new little human bean yet, we’re sure he’s just as precious. Congratulations to the proud parents!

And although we’re used to seeing van Houten like this…

It’s okay, Monte, she doesn’t mean it…

…in real life she’s neither an evil pyromaniac nor a religious fanatic — but a talented singer, actress, and fashionista with a penchant for rocking a killer red lip.

And also has the most adorable pair of glasses, may we just add.

Of course, after the now infamous birth scene in Game of Thrones…

There are not enough ICKs in the world…

…both she and partner Guy Pearce were ready for fans’ jokes months ago, so fans have had van Houten’s entire, inspirational pregnancy to get it out of their systems. But we’re sure that both Pearce and van Houten are wading through a lot of truly awful jokes post-announcement.
