TAPPING NEW TALENT: Capricorn Retail Advisors has tapped Joel Dabu as senior managing director to bolster the firm’s mall/project leasing division and its national advisory group, a division that assists retailers with strategy and execution.

Prior to Capricorn, Dabu was managing director at TSCG Investors, where he oversaw the company’s landlord representation business in the northeastern U.S., supported the development of new business and clients, devised marketing and leasing strategy and execution, and attracted talent to the company. TSCG focuses on real estate.

Earlier in his career, Dabu worked at Midwood Investment & Development, where he oversaw a variety of projects and served as a New York City-based leasing representative for the Taubman Company. While at Taubman, Joel brought new retail concepts to the portfolio such as Albion Fit, APM Monaco, CoreLife Eatery, Evereve and Calzedonia Group. “His extensive high-street and mall background is a perfect compliment to the level of service clients have come to expect from Capricorn and we look forward to his impact on our organization,” Jason Richter, Capricorn’s managing principal, said in a statement.
