Candy Hau passes away in her sleep

27 Feb – Veteran actress Hau Woon Ling (also known as Candy Hau) has recently passed away, as reported on Apple Daily.

According to film star Susan Shaw, who announced the sad news on Facebook, the veteran actress passed away in her sleep while in the care of the staff at the Wong Tai Sin Hospital.

"She is now at peace. She lived a good life and went peacefully. Don't be sad, but do pray for her," she added.

Candy entered the business world late in life, when she was 67.

Although her first movie with lines was "The Killers", Candy was most known for her many Stephen Chow films including "King of Comedy", "Justice, My Foot", and Love on Delivery" - which landed her the nickname "Stephen Chow's official grandma".

She was 95.
