The overhaul, however, is paying homage to the past. “I don’t believe it will look different in the sense that it will be such a departure from when Vince Camuto was here and what the line looked like,” explained Camuto Group SVP and creative director Melissa Lawrence. “It’s going to have more of the hallmarks of that era because he exuded passion in everything he did. I think it will be the modern version. It is about invoking that same emotion and that same feeling.”
