Camilla, Queen Consort, is joined by her sister for important public appearance
Camilla, the Queen Consort, was joined by her sister, Annabel Elliot, at the 2022 Booker Prize for Fiction Ceremony on Monday, October 17.
The Queen Consort, who is known for her love of reading and literature, attended the prestigious event. In a picture showing Camilla meeting Mark Damazer, Chair of the Booker Prize Trustees, the Queen Consort's sister, Annabel Elliot, can be seen looking on.
Annabel is an interior designer and antiques dealer and is Camilla's younger sister. The Queen Consort was born in 1947 and Annabel was born in 1949.
The Queen Consort attended the 2022 Booker Prize for Fiction Ceremony to present the award to the winner of the prize.
This year, author Shehan Karunatilaka won the prestigious prize for his novel The Seven Moons of Maali Almeida. A post on The Royal Family Instagram account reads: "🏆Congratulations to Shehan Karunatilaka, winner of the 2022 Booker Prize for Fiction!
"The Queen Consort, who has long-championed the joy of reading and advocated for literacy, presented Shehan with the Prize for his novel ‘The Seven Moons of Maali Almeida’."
For the event, the Queen Consort looked elegant and chic in a black lace cocktail dress. The outfit comprised of delicate lace detailing and a skater-style flared skirt, and is by designer Fiona Clare.
Camilla accessorised her look with diamond earrings by Van Cleef & Arpels. The Queen Consort paired her outfit and accessories with a subtle and elegant makeup look and wore her hair in her signature style.
The Booker Prize is recognised as one of the leading awards in the world of literature.
