Cameron Diaz is back—well, Back in Action.

The actress, 52, will make her return to film in Netflix's Back in Action, co-starring Jamie Foxx. Cameron hasn't starred in a movie since 2014's Annie; for Cam, taking a break from acting “was something I just had to do," she said at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit in October, per The Hollywood Reporter. "It felt like the right thing for me to do to reclaim my own life and I just really didn’t care about anything else.”

In the meantime, Cameron's had a lot of life changes. She welcomed two children, daughter Raddix (born in 2019) and son Cardinal (born in 2024), with husband Benji

In March 2024, Cameron confirmed the birth of her second child via Instagram that she's welcomed a son named Cardinal with her husband, Benji Madden. The couple are already parents to daughter Raddix, 4.

“We are blessed and excited to announce the birth of our Son, Cardinal Madden❤️🙏,” Cameron captioned her joint post with Benji. “He is awesome and we are all so happy he is here!” The couple pointed out that they won’t be sharing photos of Cardinal for “safety and privacy,” but she added that the baby is “really cute.”

Cameron and Benji, whose post featured a drawing reading, "A little bird whispered to me," wrapped up by adding that they're “so blessed and grateful 🍀” for the new addition.

Cameron revealed the 2019 birth of her daughter, Raddix, in a similarly low-key way. When they shared the news the following year, Cameron said that Raddix was “really, really cute,” but the couple wouldn’t be sharing any more information publicly about their little one.

“They were always hoping for a second baby, because they love being parents," the source told People.

After Raddix's birth, a source close to Cameron shared that the couple tried for years to conceive before finally turning to surrogacy. “They went through so much to get to this point,” the insider told Us Weekly. “Cameron feels like this baby is truly a miracle.” A previous source told the publication that Cameron and Benji also went through in vitro fertilization (IVF), acupuncture, and supplements to try to have a baby.

In 2020, Cameron opened up about her role as a mother, calling it "the best, best, best part of my life."

“I love being a mother,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “I’m so grateful and so happy and it’s the best thing ever and I’m so lucky to do it with Benj.”

The couple was “having the best time” as parents, she added.

Later that year, Cameron had a similar message when visiting The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. "It's been heaven,” she said of being a mom. “Literally every single day, there's just leaps and bounds...and she's not the same baby that she was yesterday. Where was yesterday? Yesterday is literally gone, and today is a new day, and tomorrow will be a new day that she's a completely different baby.”

Congrats on the new addition, Cameron and Benji!
