Cally Kwong to take rest due to knee osteoarthritis

16 Feb - Hong Kong singer Cally Kwong recently surprised many when she posted a photo of herself being pulled up the stairs by a couple of helpers via a scalamobil.

According to Mingpao news, the singer, who shared the photos on Facebook on 15 February, wrote, "I have problems with my knee. The doctor said I have to reduce movements and avoid going up the stairs. So for safety, I use this staircase wheelchair."

However, Cally assured that excluding her knee problem, she is overall in good health.

"I have a lot of things to deal with soon, so I am hoping to finish it all and take a break so I can get better. I am very sorry, and thank you for your concern," she added.

When asked about her condition recently, Cally said that she has a knee osteoarthritis (degeneration of the knee cartilage), and was advised to take a rest by her doctor. As to whether it has something to do with her wearing high heels, the singer admitted that there is some connection, and that she will reduce wearing them in the future.
