A Bunch of Nike Kobe 9 Sneakers Are Coming Out in 2025 — and They Should Be Easy to Get
Whether it’s a new design or the return of a fan-favorite look from the past, Kobe Bryant’s sneakers remain difficult to acquire. Although Nike has steadily ramped up the frequency of releases, demand remains high for the late legend’s footwear, but a selection of styles headed to stores later this year could be one of the more attainable Kobe drops yet.
Picking up where 2024’s five-sneaker Nike Kobe 8 Protro “Team Bank” pack left off is a new group of shoes in near-matching colors. This time, the theme will appear on the Kobe 9 Protro Low EM, the low-top version of the Kobe 9 which replaces the shoe’s usual Flyknit material with an engineered mesh. According to sneakermarket.ro, five “Team Bank” styles are expected to be released during September.

Like the Kobe 8 Protro colorways, the Kobe 9 Protro Low EM will feature two Los Angeles Lakers-inspired styles in “Black/University Gold/White” and “White/Court Purple/White.” The group also includes “Wolf Gray” and “University Red” styles along with a “Game Royal” which replaces the “College Navy” iteration from the Kobe 8 group.
The simple, two-tone “Team Bank” colorways are designed to easily match the uniforms of amateur players at the high school and collegiate levels. The concept has long been featured on Nike’s performance footwear output and was recently seen on Sabrina Ionescu’s Sabrina 2 sneaker.
Along with the “Team Bank” styles pictured here, readers can expect a heavy push for the Nike Kobe 9 Protro which includes the return of the “Beethoven,” “Moonwalker” and “What the Kobe” colorways.
The Nike Kobe 9 Protro Low EM “Team Bank” collection will arrive in September. Retail pricing has not been confirmed. Although the images pictured here are speculative mock-ups, the versions hitting retail are expected to look similar, except with engineered mesh uppers instead of Flyknit.
